CREEP CLOTHING BY HIROSHI AWAI November 06 2011
New to Service Menswear, Creep Clothing first launched in 1997 in Osaka, Japan by Kiyofumi Awai. On a limited number occassions, the label’s pieces have made their way to US shelves. In 2008, Kiyofumi’s younger brother, Hiroshi, took the reigns as Creep’s creative director. Hiroshi is taking the line in a new direction by combining innovative Japanese design with his passion for the simple beauty of functional American workwear.

POMEGRANATE DYED SELVEDGE DENIM BY NAKED & FAMOUS October 30 2011
Pomegranate Selvedge - 14oz left-hand-twill selvedge denim dyed in a blended dyestuff made partially from real pomegranate tannin. These jeans also have an added chemical color stabalizer so the color won’t fade fast in the sun and also in order to have an even surface color. NAKED & FAMOUS DENIM - THE LEFT HAND TWILL September 13 2011
It is said that Left Hand Twill (LHT) denim is softer than RHT. This is due to both the YARN TWIST and FABRIC TWILL DIRECTION...
Most denim uses yarn that is twisted in the Z-twist method. This is a counterclockwise twist, which loosens in the clockwise (right) direction.
RHT denim pulls the fabric to the right. And since the Z-twist yarn loosens clockwise, the warp gets overlapped, thus creating a rough feel. But, LHT denim pulls the fabric to the left, and so the warp lines up in order, which creates a softer hand feel and cleaner appearance.

Paste’s graphic tees, designed by artist Jason Laurits, are hand-silkscreened in Brooklyn, NYC. Artwork is printed on Made-in-the-USA, 100% cotton tees that are enzyme-washed to battle shrinkage and to give a vintage-soft feel. Through a digital medium, Laurits copies, cuts, and pastes over and over again to create the bold, whimsical, sometimes insightful, sometimes irreverent collages that Paste has become known for. Laurits pulls from photographs of his own and ones found in the public domain, as well as old maps, vintage fabrics, family keepsakes, antique wallpaper, and anything else he can think of to get the perfect tee image. The t-shirts, themselves, are made in California with Laurits’s own custom-colors, and are hand-silkscreened in Brooklyn. All graphics are designed by Laurits. Currently available at Service.
